I also offer postpartum doula services to any mother who has recently had a baby.  She doesn't need to have been a birth doula client.  What I offer is the gift of time.  We have all seen it: A mother who gets way too much baby stuff at the shower, but who has no family around locally to help her with the baby, and gets isolated and depressed with no one to help her around the house. The perfect solution is a gift certificate with postpartum doula services.

As a postpartum doula I can come at your convenience to your home and provide any basic serivce that you would like. I can do infant care while mom takes a shower, leaves to go shopping, or just rests.  I can help with breastfeeding.  I can prepare meals to be frozen for the future, clean, do laundry, or just provide a couple hours of companionship and someone to talk to. It is completly in the hands of the mother to decide what she wants to do. Because of my unique experience as a home visitor to new mothers I can also provide information on child development, child safety, and plenty of handouts regarding many topics. I also can point a mother towards a particular resource like La Leche League, or parenting groups should she want this information.

Basic Charge: $35 per hour.

Cluster of 5 hours: $150*

Cluster of 10 hours: $300*

*Mothers can break up clusters if they would like or use them together.  They work with me directly to figure out scheduling and activities requested. I do not provide food for cooking. Also availability dates are subject to change due on call schedule as a birth coach, but all efforts will be made to keep appointments.

*Due to the rise in fuel costs, the $35 rate per hour will apply to all hours if client lives more than 30 minutes away from my home in Manchester.
